THE STAPLES CHURCH OF CHRIST, in existence for over 90 years, is located a mile south of Staples, a community of approximately 3,100 population, amid the scenic farms, lakes, and wooded areas of Central Minnesota.

The Church of Christ in Staples, Minnesota began in 1913. We are a church family that, over the years, has been blessed by other churches who joined us from area communities such as Philbrook and Batavia. We are a fellowship of churches that came from a movement in the early years of the United States. The Restoration Movement started on the frontier and sought to have followers of Jesus follow Him as the Living Word, as revealed in the Bible. These churches may also use 'Christian Church' in their name. There are about 5,900 of these churches in the United States, and thousands more internationally. We desire only to be Jesus' followers. But far more than doctrine, THE CHURCH IS PEOPLE!!! There's a warm welcome here. In fact, although the congregation is over 90 years old, several members have made this their church home in recent years. A common practice is a "potluck" fellowship dinner, right after morning worship, the first Sunday of nearly every month. The Lord always provides bountifully, and we have yet to see anyone go hungry! (So don't worry if you don't have something to bring!) But equally rich is the spiritual food - the fellowship - the warm welcome shared with all who enter our door - indeed, it is the Lord's door - and we are here to welcome you, on His behalf. From Staples, Minnesota, at the junction of U.S. Highway 10 and Minnesota State Highway 210, take MN 210 W, which turns south at 6th St. SE (two blocks east of the main stoplights). Proceed across the railroad tracks, past the South Side Mini-Mart store, and you will see the church building on your right, at an intersection, about a mile south of town, just beyond Pine Grove Park. Activities include:
SUNDAY:
9:00 A.M.: Prayer Time
9:30 A.M.: Classes for preschool to adult ages
10:30 A.M.: Sunday worship service, with weekly Lord's Supper (communion)
(Staffed nursery provided. Worship activities for pre-school children are often available, during sermon time.)
On the first Sunday of most months, please stay and be our guest for a fellowship dinner, shortly after the service.

WEDNESDAY:
9:00 A.M.: Quilting fellowship meets at the church building. The group makes quilts as gifts for our high school graduates, as well as for people in Mexico, through Spanish American Evangelistic Ministries (click here for their web site), of El Paso, Texas. (We also partner with several mission agencies and schools. Feel free to contact us for details. See "To find us", above.)

Wednesday evening activities (mainly from October to April):
3:15 P.M.: Worship on Wednesdays (WOW), for elementary age kids.
5:30 P.M.: (Provided by committees. No charge - Everyone welcome!)
6:30 P.M.: Teen youth groups and adult small group Bible Study.

In addition, our summer Vacation Bible School involves youth and adults.

Small Groups:

We have several small groups that meet at different times and places each month. We would be glad to put you in touch with any of the contact people if you are interested.

Quilters (see Wednesday activities, above)

PROMISE KEEPERS MEN'S small group meets twice a month and uses many of the Promise Keeper's DVD study materials. Service projects and outings are also included.

LADIES SMALL GROUP meets 1-2 times a month in one another's homes. Various studies are used, such as The Purpose Driven Life. Some ladies have attended the Women of Faith Conference.
