HOW THE PAT ANSWERS PROCESS WORKS:

Thank you for your interest in PAT ANSWERS products! Your help, by following these few steps, will help to speed the delivery of your order. It's as easy as 1-2-3:

1. With the permission of your employer, samples of our current product line (about a dozen titles or items, different ones each month) are left, normally in the staff lunch / break room at your school or business, for your review, usually only 3 to 4 days (normally Mon.- Thu. or Tue. - Fri.). THERE IS NEVER ANY COST TO HAVE A DISPLAY, NOR ANY OBLIGATION TO BUY ANYTHING, NOR TO CONTINUE THE SERVICE, AND PAT ANSWERS BOOKS ASSUMES ALL LIABILITY FOR RETURNING UNSOLD BOOKS TO THE SUPPLIER, OR PAYING HIM FOR THEM.

2. To order, please write in the appropriate column, on the order sheet provided in the sample kit:

-Your Name (First and Last, Please)

-How many of each item you want.

-Payment method ("X" under "CHECK" or "CASH".) (A check is actually preferred, for your safety, although cash is acceptable, and we can make a limited amount of change. Please make any checks payable to "Pat Answers" (the name of our business checking account). (There is a $30 charge on returned or nsf checks. However, we will hold a check for up to two weeks, if you attach a note, stating when we may deposit it.)

3. Please put your cash or check payment in the large PAT ANSWERS envelope provided.


Your PAT ANSWERS representative, usually wearing a uniform shirt or jacket with the light bulb logo (left, above), will return on the day and date marked on the order form, to fill your order at that time. If you are not at work that day, but your payment is there, your product(s) will be left, in your name, with your front office receptionist or other staff in charge at the moment.

In response to some frequently asked questions, and to unusual situations we have sometimes encountered :

Please understand that this is a cash business at this point. Although credit card processing is a goal, we have yet to attain it. Meanwhile, thank you for your patience.

We regret that we cannot leave products for which payment has not been made, or is not in the payment envelope. Some clients prefer that their front office staff keeps the payment envelope in a safe place until delivery. We are flexible to whatever method the client school or company prefers.

Our success and ability to continue serving you depend on maximizing profits and minimizing losses. Because PAT ANSWERS assumes full responsibility for the sample products left at your site, we must pay our supplier for every missing item. In order to keep your prices low, we minimize our profit margins, and literally cannot afford to continue serving locations where repeated loss of sample items or payments have occurred. Also, we have no control over the policies of our clients, and some of them may choose to discipline, or even terminate, employees suspected of stealing money or books. With this in mind, to enable us to continue serving your office, please return the sample items to the sample kit box by 8 A.M. on the delivery date marked on the order form. Thank You for your help on this. (Purchase of a sample copy is, of course, fine, if you are satisfied with the quality and price, and if payment is left in the envelope. This can be helpful, of course, in the event of, say, a loved one's birthday gift, needed before delivery date, or a day off on delivery date. If anyone did not get a chance to see the purchased sample, please let your PAT ANSWERS representative know, and we will gladly provide a new sample copy as soon as possible.)

In the event of inclement weather, car trouble (extremely rare), or other unforseen delay of delivery, PAT ANSWERS staff will call your front office on the scheduled delivery day, or as soon as possible after, to notify the staff, and will reschedule as soon as possible. If the following Wednesday is acceptable to all customers at the site, that is the most flexible day in our schedule. But in the event of a purchase for a gift, for example, to be given in the meantime, every effort will be made to deliver the products in time to meet that goal.
