PAT'S FAMILY:

Pictured L. to R.: Pat Quance, wife Nancy, son Doug, son / daughter-in-law M/M Mike Quance (Lacey / Mike),
...AND...
TWO precious new daughters, c/o Staples-Motley High School Class of '09 and Foreign Exchange Program::
Merili Tsernjavski (did I spell it right?)
, Talinn, Estonia, and
Andreina ("Andi") Martin-Melo, Caracas, Venezuela
(Guys, a note from "Papa Pat": Andi does have a long-term boyfriend back home, but I think both girls are on Facebook, and they do keep in contact with some guys - AS LONG AS YOU BE POLITE!)
(Hey, after raising only boys for a couple decades, I had to get that in.)
GOOD THING DAD'S SWEATER HAS A ZIPPER - IF IT WERE BUTTONS, THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY LEFT!!!

Nancy (Mrs. Pat) Quance (L.) has served as a special education teacher with the Staples - Motley schools since 1986, after 5 years' experience in the Grand Rapids, MN area. Pat is grateful for Jesus, and for many wonderful mentors, including his parents, plus a wealth of great colleagues, over the years. But for the true secret behind any success he has attained, look no further. Although we are all only human, Nancy has outdone herself, on numerous occasions, to serve others. It is this daily, Christlike example, in the spirit of Philippians 2:5-7*, that has been Pat's anchor, through all of life's challenges.
*(5Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature of a servant...) (New International Version)
(Besides - SHE'S CUTE!!!)
Pat's son Doug Quance (C.), a 2005 high school graduate, has double-majored in music education and music performance, at Bemidji State University, Bemidji, MN, where he played in the percussion section of the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble I since his freshman year. Graduating in May, 2010, Doug has considered teaching at the college level, among other career options, and has worked his way through college by running a gym floor maintenance service with a college friend each summer. Best wishes, Doug! Wherever you set your sights, you will succeed!
(By the way, how DO you play the marimba with four - count 'em - FOUR mallets - AT THE SAME TIME, repeating one note in the left hand, and CONSTANTLY CHANGING the other note, IN THE SAME HAND? Ya didnt' get that coordination from the ol' man's side, Bud!)
A word of thanks from Pat Answers Books to Michael Quance

Mike Quance with dad, Pat (L
), and a four-footed friend.
A 2003 high school graduate, Mike began his college study at St. Cloud State University, in south-central Minnesota, before taking a leave from studies to marry his high school sweetheart, Lacey Lind. During this time, Mike first worked in the road construction industry in the summer, assisting his dad, Pat, when possible, with the operation of Pat Answers Informative Books and Resources during the winter months - even running the business on his own, when Pat occasionally had other commitments.
Obtaining his Associate in Arts Degree in May, 2008, Mike continued to work his way through college, often studying online, while working in a shipping warehouse and serving as church youth sponsor with wife Lacey.
As of late April, 2010, Mike had successfully carried out an internship in Human Resources at Tri-County Health System, in Wadena, Minnesota, and in May, 2010, graduated from the Human Resources specialist course at Minnesota State Community and Technical College ("M-State"), Moorhead, MN.
(Man, you're doing stuff I can't even PRONOUNCE!)
Best wishes, Mike and Lacey!
Mike and Lacey (Lind) Quance were married in October, 2005.

Married in October, 2005, Mike and wife / past school classmate Lacey make their home in Bertha, Minnesota. A special word of thanks to Lacey, as well, who also often assisted with Pat Answers Books, and has successfully operated a day care center, first outside their home, and more recently at home.
(Married only 5 years, and looks like married life is driving them CRRRAZY already -?)
